ABOUT PRIA

aboutpriaI did not start my career in Education. This is an area I was drawn towards, as my life exposed me to different, competitive educational systems. My own educational journey matured and benefitted from my parental journey. As our family crossed continents, my knowledge and understanding of education grew. What I learned, over two generations, became my calling. Working with students, from around the world, helping them realise their dreams is a wonderful job!

I spent my early years as a student in India’s great city – Mumbai. As a teenager, I attended a United World College and gained from an early exposure to a more holistic education, reflected in the International Baccalaureate programme.

From Bombay to British Columbia and then Boston! I continued my educational journey as a student at Harvard College. When life took me to New York City, I earned a graduate degree at New York University’s Stern School of Business.

As a parent, I enjoyed the opportunity to learn about education from a different perspective. My family-life took us from New York City to Los Angeles and on to London. I gained knowledge and insights into different educational systems. My work with Harvard University’s U.K. Schools Committee allowed me to stay close to the United States college environment and to students, who hoped to be a part of that environment.

After my daughters moved on to University, I realised that the body of knowledge and experience that I had accumulated – both from my student-life and from my role as a parent – was useful to other people! What started informally, among friends and family, grew to be a profession. My work now stretches across continents and age-groups and is tailored to the specific needs and goals of each student.

While I did not start out knowing that I would work in Education, I have grown passionate about this area. Students are moving across borders as never before. I have watched Education grow into a powerful movement that shapes minds and hearts. My interest in helping students successfully navigate this movement only grows and it is their success that makes me feel fortunate to be a part of this dynamic industry.
